Artisans Best is a brand that celebrates the culture and traditions of Colombian tribes, rural communities, and women who are head of households. I had an opportunity to work closely with artisans 37 years ago and I was involved with promoting the work of Colombian artisans. It gave me the opportunity to connect with different groups and I saw firsthand the impact that promoting their crafts meant to them, their community, their culture, and their survival. Thirty-seven years later, I have decided to go back and reconnect with many of these communities and play a role in their survival both economically and culturally.

This beautiful project started in 2014 when I decided to go back and reconnect with my heritage and the communities involved in making crafts.Home décor accents, accessories. These crafts have different origins and styles due to the large variety of communities and the natural surroundings they have access to. Many of the items are made out of leather, wood, Iraka Palm fiber, plantain fiber, cañaflecha Gynerium sagittatum, a type of cane that grows in Colombia.
